Based at the Whitby Rifle Club Steampunk Central is the venue for everything steampunk at the internationally renowned Whitby Gothic Weekend.

The first Steampunk meet as part of WGW was organised by James Richardson Brown in 2007. With meetings, brunches, picnics and get togethers we started to look for our own dedicated venue and in 2010 we moved into the Rifle Club.

We now present steampunk traders on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of WGW as well as a social meeting venue with fresh food and a bar during the day.  In the evenings we promote steampunk entertainment - live bands, comedy, music hall even quizzes and games.

Steampunk Central is organised and run by the Victorian Steampunk Society.  The VSS strives to promote steampunk within the UK (and indeed further afield)   We are a not for profit organisation that aims to facilitate events for the benefit of the wider steampunk community.

WEEKEND AT THE ASYLUM 

The largest steampunk event in Europe and probably the best steampunk event in the World. Run in the City of Lincoln in September.
